Casey accepts a job offer to work for her favorite company Maverick Western due to her childhood fascination with Cowboys. The deal is though that she has to spend a week living like a rancher to get the job. So it's off to Colorado where cellphones don't work and chance to get online is nonexistent.

Bonner Blue Boyd is a former Rodeo Champion, now a ranch manager for the owner of Maverick Western, Jake Maverick, it's his job to show Casey the ropes - of course when Casey turns out to be a woman and a fine woman at that things get a little sticky, see there’s a code on how to handle these situations but it doesn't help that Casey's flirting and insinuating something he's been dying to try out. So what will it be, job and honor or one hot girl in the sack?

I'll say it again Cat Johnson is one of my favorite authors! Her stories are sizzling hot, emotional, funny, witty and so easy to get lost in! Johnson's writing is excellent, and let's face it to make the story good the writing has to melt in the pages and transform into a world in your head and Johnson writing sure does just that - after which it is so easy to believe the plot, invest in the characters and the story.

The plot was interesting and didn't give you an easy way out so that the couple could end up together... there was no way it could work and then something happens and... well you'll just have to read the book to figure it out. ;) I liked the fact that this book starts in October and end s up with a December finale - this way it's not just a Christmas story but a story you can read any day of the year!

I loved the corporate shark marketing director with a western fetish, cowboy boots, plaid comforters and cast iron skillets getting down and dirty in the ranch without question. She could have easily been annoying if she'd been afraid of little dirt ( I do get the spider freak out in the outhouse, I mean no girl likes those! ) but she wasn't and it made her awesome!

Blue was such a joy to read ( not to mention arousing - what? so I have a thing for cowboys ) he's real man's man, boots, faded jeans, not exactly chatty, and used to being in control - which by the way translates to some burning hot encounters in the log cabin for the couple, a guy who takes what he wants the way he wants it and pleasures his lady during it ( fans self ).
"All right, but this time, it's my way." He stood and with a hand on each of her hips, flibbed her over so she was face down on the matress.
She glanced over her shoulder at him. "What made the first time my way?"
"Women like it face to face. Every man knows that. It's fine with me, but this is the way I like it best." He punctuated his final word with an open handed slap against her ass cheek.
     Casey jumped. "Ow."
"Mmm, come on. That didn't really hurt." He leaned low over her back. "I bet I can make you forget all about it."
This book is hot! If you want a christmas read that is full of sexual tension, teasing, real emotions and heartfelt characters then you want to give this a chance!
