Don't miss  The Cowboy and The Vampire Weekend! On right now!

This week's question :
"What is your biggest pet peeve when it comes to books? Maybe you don’t like love triangles or thin plots? Tell us about it!"
Answer :

Alright, without going too negative, as weekend is coming, I'm going attempt to take this lightly. ;)

I'm currently reading, about finishing, a book that has Underlining with some words, and that seems to really break me from concentrating on the story. What else? Oh, I don't like Unsolved Issues, you know when the character does something in the middle of the book and you go 'oh, what was that', and then it's never resolved. What else? I really really dislike animals dying, that's just unnessecery, and it brings out the little sad peta-girl in me. ;) But, okay, what bothers me the most are dumb characters, that's a deal breaker, if the character doesn't work then the book gets shut, as simple as that.

Oh, and don't miss in taking part in The Cowboy and The Vampire Weekend! With a 5 Star Review, Guest Blog "Cowboy or Vampire?", Co-Author Interview and Signed Copy Giveaway coming this weekend you want to take part, drop by, comment and generally *squee* if you're into Cowboys or Vampires, or hey, both!

What about you, what are your biggest book pet peeves?
Really, spill it, I want to know!?

Thanks for dropping by Melliane! :D
Oh unresolved issues are baaaad! Also when something that's mentioned that you THINK is going to be important but turns out to be nothing and you've just wasted that brain space holding on to that tidbit! Haha.

Thanks for following:)

Thanks for stopping by, have a great weekend!
Agreed! If I know an animal is going to die in a book, I refuse to read it. There is a reason I have never read or watched Marley and Me!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Returning the follow ^_^

Marley and me... :( I didn't know he was gonna die and went and read it!

Glad you dropped by! Hope to see you again!
Wow, underlining is very unusual, and I think that would bug me as well! Animals dying and animal cruelty are things I really struggle with. I've stopped reading good books due to those things in the past :(

Following you back :)

I can't stand animals getting hurt, I feel it's our duty as the dominant species to take care of others.
Yes, unsolved issues is a pet-peeve of mine, too. I can hardly think of them all because I just have too many. But, I hate when the author does something that you notice, that you think will come up again later in the story, but it never does. Ugh... It makes you wonder what was the point of that.

And, I get super emotional when animals die in books, too. I don't call it a pet-peeve, but I definitely get weepy about it. Don't know why I won't necessarily get weepy when humans die in books...

Thanks for stopping by my blog earlier!

Hi, Cathy! Ugh, definately annoying, if something happens in a book it should be for a reason! ;) Thanks for stopping by!
I dont know why authors even bother writing dumb characters unless its in a humorous context.

ah yes, the dumb characters... so annoying, and I haven't seen books with underlining yet, but that would be pretty annoying as well... thanks for stopping by FF today! Book Savvy Babe

The underlining is... distruptive. :( The books not bad at all but the underlining was distruptive. :(
These are all great points, nothing worse than a dumb character. Happy FF ;)

Have a great weekend too!
I know what you mean when it comes to unsolved issues in storylines. So frustrating! Same goes with dumb characters - no one can be THAT dumb . . . surely . . . and I've come across a lot of airheads in my time.
1 reply · active 695 weeks ago
LOL! Airheads indeed! The story can't be built on dumb. ;)

Thanks for stopping by on my blog. I completely agree with all your points! Useless characters performing useless actions damages reading please and is therefore a no go!! XD
Hope you have a great weekend!!

Thanks for dropping by my blog, here to return the favor and become a follower :0)

Oh, oh, oh! About the unsolved issues: I HATE THAT! Don't bring something up and keep me wondering about it and then end your book with no note of it. ESPECIALLY if it's the last book of the series. Then it just makes me go WTF? There better be a good spin-off with the answer then. I swear, everyone is ranting from this question, lol.

Have a great weekend :0)

Havea good one too!
Dumb characters drive me bananas! Especially if it's a protag because I have to put up with them for the whole darned book.
