"Stupid curse!

Yves Sucat was a Crusader trapped in a canine body…until a beautiful twenty-first century dog groomer offered the missing link to break his spell. But Regina Patterson was no fluffy-headed female who would instantly melt at Yves' silvery seduction. The more time he spent with the tender-hearted blonde, the less he was able to keep his paws—hands!—off of her.

Regina was much more comfortable with dogs than men, and the stunningly handsome – stunningly male – knight who now shared her apartment was no exception. She’d hoped to find a man as loyal as the pooches she pampered day after day, but would Yves’s broken curse end with her own broken heart?"  ~ From Goodreads

One Hot Knight is One Hot Read! There is only so much seduction from a medieval knight this girl can take! And I don't think I would have lasted as long as Regina. ;) The story of a Knight cursed to dogdom for 900 years only be rescued/changed back to man ( even though temporarily ) by a fetching dog groomer, then seduced and by the said knight was happy happy happy reading for me! Now I've only read two Entangled Covet books, and both are 5 Stars - I sense a trend. Christy Gissendaner is a pro at keeping this funny, light and entertaining! With enough depth to keep things grounded One Hot Knight was excellent addition to the lighter side of paranormal romance!

The romance between Yves and Regina was made to be, the two got on famously as girl and dog, there was some shock to Yves changing shape but she took it pretty well, and Yves snaking his way into her life and eventually in to her bed was a joyous journey of seduction and amusing dialog. Of course Maeve the witch who cursed Yves happens to still be alive so she puts some cracks on those happy walls and creates drama to keep things interesting and keeps you wanna keep reading on.

Top three likes: Yves' doggie thoughts were amusing and authentic, Regina's diet woes were cute, Yves' seduction techniques were delightfully medieval!

Top three dislikes: The dog show... why would he do that? Regina keeping the secret, another why? But that is all folks, other than those two I loved this!

"It is a new beginning for the Chanku. For so long they kept their shapeshifting ability secret, but now they have assimilated into the world in ways they once never thought possible. Still there are those who want to destroy them, with dark powers of their own…

A Bold New Beginning...

The CEO of Cheval International, Lily Cheval chooses to live alone, but a series of rapes and murders leave her wary and worried for her fellow Chanku. Then she meets Sebastian Xenakis and the connection is intense and immediate. The son of a charismatic cult leader, Sebastian is a mysteriously sensual man who uses magic to shift into wolf form. He and Lily come together in a moment of supreme ecstasy, succumbing to a primal passion that leaves Lily shaken but utterly alive. Is Sebastian her lifetime mate or is he her worst enemy?"  ~ From Goodreads

I don't know if this is just me or the fact that I've been on painkillers while reading this but... I'm bit baffled. Everything was so serious, and busy and dramatic and it was hard in the first half of the book to pinpoint the whole magic stuff, the humans, and the Chanku which were shape-shifting wolves ( maybe ) and then the guy who maybe or maybe not was one, and there were herbs. I was a lot confused.

The interaction between what I thought was the main couple Lily and Sebastian was interesting and it soon became another brain teaser with Lily's love for Alex, and then Annie's love for Alex and then Seb attraction to Alex... and I just thought this was gonna be straight forward romance!

Now the four of them get hot and heavy and it begins to make sense that the Chanku are more err... pack animals and into sharing than humans. Sebastian's first time with Alex was quite hot even though I'm not into the M/M books. And Lily's role is quite big and quite serious, as is she, I would have love to have seen her let her hair down... not a lot of laughs in this one.

Now Dark Wolf was interesting read, even though, kinda in the Urban Fantasy end but with serious romance areas, I think anyone who loves a detailedly created world of shape-shifters and magic is gonna like this. Me? I don't think I'll follow the series just because I'm more Romance girl than Urban Fantasy these days.

"You got to love a guy who tries to stay away from a woman for her own good, you know how that ends right? ;) But then again there can be something so annoying about it, where you just wanna take hold of their shirt and shake them demanding to know if they were bumped on their head as kids?"

For protection, Tristan, Adam and Star engage in a sizzling ménage ritual. Join Star as she opens her heart and soul to love, and continues her journey into the magic."  ~ From Goodreads

There is so much going on. I should have read the first book before reading this. There were things I truly did enjoy about Into The Magic, the connection between Star and Adam was effortless, there was magic, enough action to keep it interesting and the added chemistry between Star, Adam and Tristan. And it's hot. Into the Magic is better read as a sequel so don't hop the line like I did and I'm sure you'll get much more from it.

Things didn't seem to go smoothly for Star she was on bumpy ride with magic, Adam, Tristan and lot of passion. She was a smart girl and even with all this going on she managed to keep it together. You got to love a guy who tries to stay away from a woman for her own good, you know how that ends right? ;) But then again there can be something so annoying about it, where you just wanna take hold of their shirt and shake them demanding to know if they were bumped on their head as kids.

Of course Vegas is always a character of its own as is the magic, so you won't be bored with Into The Magic.

The ding-dong of the doorbell put a halt to her primping. After shoving the makeup into a drawer, she went to the door.

Holy mother of… Star stood with her jaw open and her eyes wide. Tristan was hot. He was tall and had dark hair pulled into a ponytail. He wore a tight T-shirt that outlined a well-developed chest. His eyes were an unusual shade of silvery-grey and they focused directly on hers. Then he smiled, and her pulse sped up. A spark of heat ignited between her legs, which often happened when she was in close proximity to a delicious man, much to her discomfiture. This time, however, was different. A frisson of excitement tickled her spine and her scalp tingled. Tristan gave off a lot of power and she sensed it.

“May I come in?” he asked.

      “Oh, yes, of course, please.”

She stepped out of the way as he strode in. His presence seemed to light the room up, and this position offered her another fine view, one of his delicious backside, accentuated by tight jeans.

Another effect of her practicing magic, she could now detect colours around people—auras, as the New Age people called them. She’d first noticed this with Adam, on Porrima. When he was excited and happy, he radiated a smooth, warm orange and yellow, so vibrant she felt it caress her skin. Tristan exuded something else, something raw and sensual that made goose bumps pop on her arms. Dancing flames surrounded this man, and he gave off a mix of power, hunger, and something sly. The colours around him kept changing, like a chameleon on a rainbow.

REVIEW - A HINT OF FROST

"Lourdes has to change the binding agreement promising Rhys her hand in a true marriage with the price of saving her sister. Lourdes has agreed to bind herself to Rhys, a political "marriage" of sorts to the questionable Mimetidae, to keep her Clan of silk weaving Araneidae safe and to revenge her parent’s murder which has made her the leader of her people.

But when her sister is kidnapped by their old guards, turned her parents' murderers Lourdes has to change the binding agreement promising Rhys her hand in a true marriage with the price of saving her sister.

But Rhys has secrets, and his interests in marrying her seems much more than just political scheming, but can she trust him, after all she seems to have nothing in common with the son of flesh eating, poisonous, scheming Mimetidae Maiven and her Clan of skilled mercenaries.

A Hint of Frost was one excellent fantasy novel, with romance to spice it up. From bear riders to spider like clans of people it was unique read, even to a mild case of arachnophobia like me. I loved the Araneidae people, the artisans of the nation, them spinning silk stronger than any metal to armor and to soft to touch fabric. I loved how much fantasy this novel had and how well it was used to tell an interesting story that is begging for a book two!

The plot was interesting, Theridiidae Clan went back on their word killing Lourdes’s parents making her the youngest Maiven of the Araneidae Clan, which forces her to make a deal with the Mimetidae Maiven ( equivalent of a Queen ) to marry one of her sons for the protection of her Clan against the Theridiidae. Lourdes expects one of the poisonous cannibalistic brute warriors and is shocked to find herself with a man with kindness and understanding. But that’s not all, her sister has been kidnapped, and on her search for her they come across a deadly gruesome plague that turns animals and people to something unnatural and bleeds them yellow.

The romance in A Hint of Frost was suggestive and mostly sweet, protected Lourdes had no clue how things were to go, and having Rhys tempt her and protect her gave a interesting feel to their romance. I probably would have loved more romance in the book, I felt it was perhaps left too much in the end. The book almost had a slightly christian feel to it with the innocence and the waiting, but when things got hot there wasn’t much christian about it.

I enjoyed the contrasting religions of healing and science, I liked seeing it explored in the book. I think this book introduced the characters well for the future books, left a lot of interesting openings for future relationships and political intrigue. Great fantasy, lovely romance and interesting twist on the mesh of spiders and people and their culture.

REVIEW - THAT OLD BLACK MAGIC (OVER 18)

Author: Moira Rogers
Pages: 20 pages
Publisher: Reissued Backlist
Form: E-book
Series: Mystic Valley #2
Genre: Paranormal / Erotica (Over 18)
Read Online for Free: Here

I was looking for Paranormal Romance Free Reads online and ended up finding Moira Rogers Free Reads I picked title and cover I liked, which ended up being That Old Black Magic.

That Old Black Magic is a free Mystic Valley story, offered unedited and as-is. It contains strong language, graphic sex, and a battle of the sexes involving handcuffs.

"The job was supposed to be easy. Lifting a magic charm from the house of a reclusive wizard in the middle of a swamp is a breeze for Max, a shapeshifter who has made his reputation by putting an end to dark wizards and the evil magic they use. Getting locked into a closet with an infamous thief wasn't part of the gameplan, but Max has always improvised well...especially when a hot woman is involved. The one thing Max didn't plan for was the possibility that Polly would beat him at his own game."

Alright, first, I feel I should blush reviewing this because it was seriously hot!

Max's character is interesting from the very beginning, he's bit rough being a shape-shifter, a wolf. But he's got a nice analytical way of approaching things, all business - until he meets Polly Cassidy who makes him forget about business and give into that part of him that's driven by basic needs... and this is where it gets hot.

The chemistry between Max and Polly is charming and then turns to steaming hot in six seconds flat, and doesn't stop. The play of cat and mouse continues and it is makes-me-giggle kinda good.

This is the first full out erotica I've read, and I don't have anything bad to say about it!

Now what good I have to say about it is that I love Moira Rogers' writing and have to get my hands on some of her Paranormal Romance!
