REVIEW - THE SCIENCE OF SEXAPPEAL

"The Science of Sex Appeal isolates every detail of human sex appeal and explores it in terms of its evolution and function. It shows us what is genetic, what is hormonal, and what neurological. What is based on sight, what on smell and what on small, subtle cues like voice and movement. Ultimately, it takes one of our deepest subconscious processes and lays it out to us in shocking and specific detail. You'll never look at a stranger, or your loved one, or yourself, in quite the same way again."

This document was interesting enough to rate and bring up, as readers of romance in all it's genres, the one common nominator is the sex and paring up the couple. What makes couples get together, what do they response to?

The documentary pays close attention to the faces and how they attract the opposite sex and why, the body and its movement and what about it causes attraction.  But also hearing opposite sexes voices add to their sex appeal, men's being low and women high pitched - what I found most interesting about this was that women during ovulation have sexier voices according to men.( watch the video below )

I liked the part where the documentary talks about females as the more ornamented sex, where males have cars, competition, status, wealth that can fracture into which mate women pick - women being choosier as they have more to worry about with the chance of getting pregnant, whereas men are more likely to hit on anything they find attractive.

One of the funniest part about this documentary was study on how women and men perceive the opposite sex's attraction to them. Men's assessment of woman's interest in them was always medium to high, women's the opposite.

Also fair warning men's saliva includes testosterone, a lust hormone, so be careful about who you kiss. ;)
