"Lanie Heron isn't looking for love-no surprise, considering her last serious relationship nearly got her killed. So when Lanie propositions Hop Kincaid, all she wants is one wild night with the hot-as-hell biker who patrols with the Chaos Motorcycle Club . . .

For Hop, Lanie has always been untouchable. She's too polished and too classy for his taste. But when she gives Hop the once-over with her bedroom eyes and offers him a night in paradise, he can't say no. And he doesn't regret it when he finds that Lanie is the best thing that's ever happened to him-in or out of bed. Now the trick will be to convince her of that."  ~ From Goodreads

Hopper... damn. Ooops, am I drooling? Ahem, I mean... Talk about sexy! I usually start with telling you a little about what the story is and how this book was written but I just have to start with Hopper! Tattooed, muscled, tall, leather jacket, wristbands, MC, rings, all in on bad ass lethal package that will have you unable to concentrate, add in the creative sex, and man, a girl is hooked! I sure am! I feel so alone now that there is no more Hopper and Lanie!

Kristen Ashley's portrayal of Chaos Motorcycle Club and it's seriously hot guys is dripping sexy and authentic - and most importantly it's a potent cocktail of those two, Ashley has created the perfect gritty erotic romance with sexy bad boy bikers and women who you wouldn't associate with riders.

I loved the fact that Lanie was all sophisticated and glamours and still needing exactly what Hopper was able to give her which was all kinds of hot, nasty, bar none sex, and surprisingly sweet and caring gestured that had her more confused than ever of her plan of one-night-stand morphing to just sex, to I'm completely addicted... don't feel bad Lanie, so are we. I loved the fact that Lanie didn't want a relationship and was, really, pretty messed up after getting shot in the previous book due to her jerk (now-dead) ex-fiancee. Her battle to not be with Hop and not grave him, was quite amusing!

This excerpt follows Lanie's hot night with Hop who stated he was going to get her into a relationship even with her many no-ways. She's escaped Hop to her fancy office, to which Hop has just broken into with some Chinese food.

"I didn't want to be seen," he informed me.
I went back to staring at him, forgetting about the rest of what we needed to go over.
He went back to the food. Placing my container in front of my chair, he took his, sat in one of my sleek white leather chairs, shifted low, leaned back and lifted his motorcycle boots on my desk, ankles crossed.
      He then commenced eating.
At this point I remembered what we needed to go over, prioritizing quickly and announced, "I'm not eating dinner with you."
      "It's imperial," he replied.
      Damn.
Imperial kung po shrimp was the best and I was hungry. I'd had a big lunch, but that was five hours ago.
And anyway, what would he do with that food if I didn't eat? Would it go to waste?
      Sacrilege.
Okay, maybe I was going to eat.
      Moving on.
"I'm not going to your place to watch TV and definitely I'm not spending the night," I declared.
"Okay, we'll go to yours," he returned.
      "We're not doing that either."
His eyes hit my overnight bag then came back to me while I tried to ignore the smell of delicious Chinese food filling the air.
      "Where we goin'?" Hop asked.
"Where I'm going is none of your business," I answered.
He grinned, clamped his chops sticks around some noodles and shoved them in his mouth, eyes on me, the grin never leaving his face.

I loved this book and HAVE-TO go get myself a copy of Own The Wind: A Chaos Novel because I I just have to have more!

GUEST BLOG: V IS FOR VIRGIN (GIVEAWAY)

The V Word—Virgin

Virgin—the word alone holds incredible power. It is no more than a term for sexual innocence, yet throughout history virginity has brought powerful men to their knees, controlled countries, and offered females a sense of personal freedom when nothing else could. It has long symbolized a woman’s gift of fidelity and a man’s assurance of paternity. One would think this state of innocence would have lost potency in today’s world, but that is not true. Virgins remain both the symbol of purity and the ultimate sexual temptation.

Losing one’s virginity can be scary, exciting, wonderful or horrid depending on the moment and the person it is shared with. In traditional romance the heroine’s virgin status was expected and, for many publishers, required. Then came the sexual revolution and that idea faded as virginity became almost embarrassing—something to be dealt with and shed. Now, the pendulum has begun to swing back across society. More and more, I meet people, male and female, who are sexually savvy and educated yet technically innocent. They enjoy hot books and movies but have chosen to preserve their virginity until they have met someone they feel worthy of the gift. No one checks these days for a hymen that could have been lost to a tampon, a pap smear, or never have existed. In the age of born again virgins, virginity depends more on a state of mind than a flap of skin, but that makes innocence no less influential. Acknowledgement of the power of virginity has crept back into romance and has perhaps strengthened in erotica.

In Runaway Virgin readers meet a girl whose status is not wholly her own doing. Her overprotective father and brothers have sheltered her to the point of smothering. Losing her virginity becomes a goal to prove she’s her own person. When she runs away to work at the Sturgis Motorcycle Classic, Neva picks the perfect spot to cross into womanhood. At the rally she can be anyone she chooses, and she chooses to be sexy and flirty and unhindered by familial expectations. It becomes her right of passage on her terms—her body, her choice, her freedom.

V is for valor, victory, validation, and virginity—yet only the virgin can control all these things by simply not acting upon his/her natural instincts. Such power in the hands of the innocent—what else could be as seductive?

BOOK SPOTLIGHT: RUNAWAY VIRGIN

"Neva Falk has spent her life beneath the loving thumb of a police chief father and four overprotective brothers. Seizing a chance to escape, she runs across the country to the motorcycle rally in Sturgis SD, where bikes roll and freedom rocks.

Neva’s mission? Lose her virginity to someone who could stand up to the men in her family even if she has no intention of ever introducing him to Daddy and the boys.

Grant Larson wants the innocent hottie behind the bar. How could he resist when she asks him to give her a ride?"

Excerpt

The earthy scent of leather and man filled the space between them, and her pussy clenched and released in anticipation. “So are we going for that ride, Grant?”

           “In a minute.”

He stood and looked over her shoulder into the darkness. She turned to see what he was searching for. A few security lights shone near the main building, but mostly the place was deserted. In fact, she wasn’t sure they’d be able to get out. Was the entrance gate locked at night? She couldn’t remember.

           “Neva?”

           “Hmm?”

“Looks like we’re all alone, and I’ve been waiting a very long time to taste you. Up for allowing me a pre-ride snack to tide me over?”

A laugh burst from her throat before she could swallow it down, but he sounded so earnest she couldn’t resist teasing him. “Depends.”

A thick eyebrow arched. “On what?”

“On whether you’re a vampire or something.”

Grant chuckled and stole a kiss that curled her toes and left her clinging to him. “How about if I’m just a horny bastard?”

           “That’s all right then.”
