Hot tattoos, tentacle sex and wicked chemistry - that's Passionate Ink for you! I have to say that living in this day and age if you haven't heard of tentacle sex you are sheltered girl! Okay, so I had heard about it, and was wondering if any paranormal romance was gonna take that on and just on luck I ran into Passionate Ink on my guest to look for tattoos and romance ( I've been addicted to Ink Master ) - I found the Pricked line on Ellora's Cave and the cover looked so yummy, the blurb so good I had to have this. To my surprise it's immediately revealed Catalina in into tentacles - and I was like whoa-hey! this is what I've wanted to come on in PNR! Let's test drive it!
I loved the story, the plot was hot, little wicked and intriguing! Catalina is about to shape-shift for the first time, she's experiencing black outs and uncontrollable lust, but not just for anyone but for Calder the hottie getting tentacle/octopus ink done. This would all be fine but something is off, and she can't be sure if Calder is bad news, and yeah the black out, worst case scenario, brain tumor, or is it... flashbacks of hot tentacle sex in the bottom of the ocean with Calder are unnerving and with him keeping secrets she's not sure anything's real any more.
Calder is trying to keep his cool, but telling Cat she's a shifter is not gonna be easy. there is the added threat of her going into denial, shifting and loosing her marbles. Calder's introduction to the story was seriously hot! I mean he's reacting to Cat in primal way while she's prepping to tattoo his cock, and that was both hot and slightly uncomfortable, I mean she's gonna be doing some painful things in no time to said member. I was quite flustered with Calder, tall, dark, sexy drink of water, half naked ( and not in the traditional way ) and well endowed sitting legs spread on a tattoo chair, just waiting for you to touch his... Geez, am I blushing!?
Okay, the sex, gotta write about it as it's so novel! Tentacle sex with an octoposeidon shifter. Let's get body parts straight here; so a man's body, normal tentacle still present, but his hands and legs turn into tentacles, woman's body same thing but no man tentacle ( pause for giggles trying to write this scientifically out of context ). Basically it's one tentacle to hold on to a female octoposeidon and three to but into three places where men like to but pleasure sensing appendices. And it's kinda hot, it's kinda really hot. I think it's the whole one guy, maximum pleasure thing - no need for other guys to butt in ( oh god, that was by accident! ), it's just you and your honey and triple penetration. LOL! What's not to like?
About the ending... That was the only part I didn't like, it ended too abruptly, with all the talk of other shifters he would have to defend her posession as mate against, I though there would be a grand finale with a pouching octoposeidon shifter. Sure the ending was a happy one, but too abrupt.
