Forbidden Realm is a delish story of a ER nurse who stumbles in the middle of a war between to alien species, one good, the other human eating bad. Kidnapped for trying to help in injured man, she's nearly raped and eaten by a nasty gruesome alien - but saved at the last minute by a man whose as handsome as he is a talented warrior. Now she's stuck with the good guys, who wanna breed with human women, and Mina is torn between wanting to escape and wanting to stay in Thracian's bed, but his dominating, possessive, cave man attitude rubs her the wrong way. But who said men were easy to understand... but alien men, that's even harder.
Thracian ( trust me you wanna click the link to get a mental image of him ) is the best of the best when it comes to warriors - the Hyperions with their superior strength and speed are wreaking havoc on the race that near decimated their female population, and as their king Thracian is leading his squadron to earth to find compatible females to impregnate, and to decimate the Scouts that came to earth to find a new food source. Thracian doesn't want to find a new female, he's happy to morn the loss of his queen for the rest of his life but his body gets a mind of it's own when he rescues Mina, an earth woman whose as feisty as she's fetching. Having her becomes a priority, but as a king he can't have a human mate, as royalty he's suppose to mate with a Hyperion woman, and Clarius is just waiting on the sidelines to snatch him... too bad he's not interested, which leads into a world of trouble for all three.
There is a lot, and I mean a lot of sex in this story, I'm not complaining as Mina and Thracian go at it like bunnies. ;) Thracian seems to have some magic way to literally orgasming Mina to submission when ever she brings up leaving his protection to return to her own earthly life. I found this amusing ( and hot! ) through out the book, except at the end - why, you ask?
Well--- Thracian went out and pulled an a-hole move on Mina, which he regretted of course, as he should ( smiles smuggly ) but I think Mina gave in way too quickly when he expressed his ardor again... I would made him stew in his own juices for at least 24 hours just so he could truly grasp what he could have lost with his "loyalty and duty to the crown rocks" attitude, just how sorry he should be and how much he should grovel... LOL! Okay, that's totally the Taurus in me, I bet Mina was like a Virgo or Pisces or some other more stable astrological sign. ;)
Top three likes: Lots and lots of sizzling hot sex. ;) - Lots of hunky, tall, dark and handsome warriors! *drools* - Thracian's reaction to earth woman giving head for the first time in his life... Priceless! LOL!
Top three dislikes: Thracian's a-hole move, Clarius's evilness ( though I liked her antagonism, such a bitch ) - Crixus * sigh * I wanna read his story so bad... oh wait this was dislikes... ummm... some sentences were bit too short. That's it folks!
