"No woman walks away from Zane Westmoreland. But when Channing Hastings does just that, it leaves the rancher reelingand then she returns to town, engaged!
Zane will do whatever it takes to show her that there is no man for her but him." ~ From Goodreads
Don't you just love a real good Harlequin Romance! I do, and "Zane" was definitely one! The plot of two ex-lovers again in the same town after two years of separation with one now engaged and the other angry was enticing! Add in the bachelor life style guru's sudden jealousy and decision to prove she still wants him ending up all wrong as he realizes he loves her... priceless!
Westmoreland novels are a Thing, and I'm arriving to that party late, typical of me to not know where the party's at. But I'm here now and staying! I'm desperate to read Canyon which is next in line to be published - and then Stern. The author has a new fan in me!
I got to say I have a soft spot for reformed playboys and Zane Westmoreland is one, a stunningly sexy, six foot'n'some, smooth talking, charming your panties off bad boy cowboy you'll find very hard... ahem, to resist. ;) And those kisses. *fans self* Hot. Zane never tells his many women he loves them, because he doesn't, so with Channing it's no different, except it is and it takes him years to figure out why. But now that he knows he loves her and won't live without her, that's it he has to have her back and nothing will stop him, not even Channing. Sure he has to plot but just wait and see... just wait and see. ;)
I love the romance in "Zane", it's burning hot with desire, love once unrequited, lust and hope. Channing's broken heart won't be easily fixed even if the romps in bed, restaurant tables or against the fridge melt her brain as well as most of her resolve - Zane's confession of love can't be real and it'll take more than sheet scorching passion to prove that. I loved Channing and her skepticism after all Zane spent a year telling her he didn't and couldn't ever love her.
I loved "Zane" and if I could I would force all you Romance Fans to read it! ;) Those of you who love second chances and a cowboy desperate to have his girl back this novel comes highly recommended!
