"ALL-CONSUMING DESIRE . . .
Izel Campbell was raised to believe she is an immortal Fionn with the magical skills fo persuasion. But when she travels to Scotland to visit her ancestral home, Izel discovers that she is actually the world's last living human. Forced to run for her life, Izel crosses paths with Kelvin Kerr, the Campbells' greatest foe-and the most magnificent warrior she has ever seen.

BURNS BRIGHTEST . . .
A thousand-year-old battle chief of the Kerr clan, Kelvin lives only to avenge his father, who died at the hands of the bloody Campbells. Honor demands he kill the Campbell heir, but when he learns that the lovely Izel is both Campbell and human, Kelvin is torn between duty and desire . . ."

I've found a new favorite series and new favorite author! The Darkest Day has that sexy adventure feel of Immortals After Dark series, which is a favorite of mine, the hero is hot as hell, dark and brooding and has a counterpart in a heroine coming to her powers which makes for some hot chemistry!

Bury writes entertaining adventure, sizzlingly sexy encounters and engaging characters - which all adds up to awesome paranormal romance! I absolutely loved the chemistry between Izel and Kelvin, from the very beginning where Kelvin tries to kill her the battle is on and even though it changes more into a verbal sparring it's very delicious reading indeed. Kelvin's brusque manners, lack of compassion and arrogance a mile wide is very entertaining reading especially when he can't seem to control his growing lust and attraction to Izel - who couldn't be more put off and turned on by the total brutish beast who think taking jabs on her innocence and previous lack of feelings is entertainment for their days long trek in the woods of Scottish Highlands.

The plot of Izel's importance was a great threat in the background for the pudding romance - and the blood feud between the Campbells and Kerrs gave it the Romeo and Juliet feel, which worked really well into both the romance and the whole feel of novel.

Want me to mention some of the things I didn't like? Okay! There weren't any! The book is a total package, love, passion, attraction, adventure so well written you simply cannot but the book down at night even though you know you only have 5 hours of sleeping time left. ;) When you finally do put the book down, it's in your dreams and the first thing in the morning you pick the book up to see what happens next.

Fans of Kresley Cole, you are going to love Britt Bury!
