"Syndra Banks should be thrilled by an invitation to join SEAL team Arapahoe in Key West for a wild good time. Instead the text summons from Ice pisses her off. Why? Because he calls and she goes running, without fail, every damn time. And now she doesn't have a choice. If Syn wants to get her personal life moving forward she has to see him again in person to break it off.

Sometimes getting what you want is as simple as reaching out, grabbing hold and not letting go." ~ From Goodreads
Nicole Austin delivers a one hot erotic romance read with Melting Ice! I haven't read any other books of hers but I want to now! The characters were believable and emotionally vulnerable, and that mixed with some extremely hot bedroom scenes was addictive little mix, I devoured these 66 pages in no time at all and was curious for more!
Ice was one cool customer, on the outside, the sharpshooter was unfazed by what ever the elements or situation, except when it was about Syn. Having danced around in SEAL relationship for 8 years Ice wants to finally not re-enlist the navy after over 20 years of service to settle down with Syn, he's planning to pop the question when in Key West and is disturbed to the core when Syn acts like she's calling the quits. I loved Ice he was so composed only to be so rattled inside, and his exit sure was a memorable!
Syn's plan of one last fair well day together, sights, hot sex and then a goodbye isn't what she wants but she can't see another way about it, she can't take him disappearing for months on end only to show up for few days before called back. I really loved Syn and rooted for her to be strong even though it was evident she was over the moon about Ice.
The romance was hot, these two totally synced in bed, the sex was way creative and I loved that Syn was the one who made Ice lose control, especially when it happened in the bedroom, whoa boy! I especially loved the ending ( spoiler ahead ) where they rush Ice to the helicopter for another mission and she's trying to call it quits and he's trying to propose while his team is dragging him to the copter and neither hearing each other over the noise. Priceless! Loved it!
