""Why would you decide to seduce me? And why now after all these years?"

Southern debutante Vivienne LaBlanc can't believe bad-boy rock star Connor Mansfield is back in town for the New Orleans annual Saints and Sinners pageant. has a reputation as wicked as his devilish smile, and Vivi has no intention of becoming one of his latest groupies!

He once crushed her high school heart, so playing the saint to Connor's sinner should be easy. But how can Vivi get those less than angelic thoughts out of her head—especially when Connor's so good at tempting her to be bad?"  ~ From Harlequin

The story of The Downfall of a Good Girl is all about the match of wits and smarts between Vivi and Connor, enemies sense teenhood. Vivi has become invested in making difference, her beauty queen days behind her, but when her self-appointed nemesis and the music world's bad boy Connor makes a move on her field, charity, the gloves come off and she's determined to win the Saints and Sinners charity money raiser even if Connor does have the unfair advantage of fame, fans and fantastically devilish good looks. But when the situation demands more demure tactics attractions flares and hate and annoyance morph to lust and hot nights in New Orleans.

Kimberly Lang knows how to write romance with hot banter and delicious double entendres, with a sinfully addictive plot, entertaining cast and witty, realistic dialog - perfect job! I excitedly wait for more from Ms. Lang!

I loved Connor, the bad boy of music, handsome heartthrob and quite the tease. He had a good head on his shoulders even though Vivi refused to see it ( at first ). Of course those talented hands, piano, dark sexy singing voice and all that black leather... don't fret Vivi I would have swooned too eventually! ;) Let's just say that if you want a sexy piano playing rock star to star in one of your romances then Connor's your guy!

Now Vivi could have come off bitchy, cold and annoying, but had none of those qualities - being a debutante she was genuinely sweet, polished and kind, a saint, to everyone... which made her fall from grace, aka dealing with Connor hilarious and supremely entertaining. Even if she did take it too far in the end. I loved her juxtapose nature. Also her sister Lorelei was a great supporting character and I could kick myself in the head for missing the opportunity to read her book, The Taming of a Wild Child through NetGalley!

I'd say The Downfall of a Good Girl was a perfect contemporary romance of the sweet but little sensual kind, great start for the Harlequin KISS line! I highly recommend this to lovers of southern debutantes, rock heartthrobs and witty banter leading to romance! And isn't the cover flirty, cute and colorful.
