Niina : Let’s get started! Can you tell my readers here 4 fun unknown facts about you so we can break the ice?
Liana : I talk on Twitter so much I don’t know if I have any secrets left! Let’s see… I’ve been bitten by a shark while SCUBA diving, I love hot air balloons but I’ve never ridden in one, my first pets were a pair of turtles I bought at a grocery store in Tijuana and smuggled home to San Diego, and the first thing I ever said to my husband was, “Are you dead?” How’s that for four fun fact?
Niina : LOL! Those will do! Tell us little about Even Villains Fall In Love, in four sentences or less?
Liana : EVFIL is the story of a super villain who falls in love with a superhero, wins her through trickery, loses her through shenanigans, and has to win her back the old fashioned way. Everything is complicated by his own desire to take over the world, and the fact that he drives a minivan and has four kids.
Niina : Tell us something about your book that we wouldn’t know just by reading the blurb?
Liana : I think Doctor Charm would win the 2012 election if he ran as a third party candidate? No, I’m joking! EVFIL is a book about Happily Ever After. So many romances end with the wedding or the kiss, EVEN VILLAINS FALL IN LOVE is about life after the honeymoon and finding love again with the same person.
Niina : How would you define your genre? Sci-fi, Fantasy?
Liana : I call EVEN VILLAINS FALL IN LOVE sci-fi romance. The superhero and science elements are all science based. The superheroes are a result of natural mutations, not magic.
Niina : What are three words each that would describe Evan and Tabitha the best?
Liana : I would describe Evan as: intelligent, curious, and dangerous ( especially in the kitchen – that man cannot cook! ). Tabitha is: fair-minded, intelligent, and giving. She’s a very generous person.
Niina : I you could only watch 5 superhero movies for the rest of your life what would they be, and why?
Liana : Only five? How many Avengers movies are out? And how are we defining superheroes? Panic
1. I’ll take Captain America ( naked, in the bedroom, please and thank you – don’t tell my husband I said that! )
2-4The Jason Bourne movies ( he’s at least as much a superhero as Black Widow )
5. Thor
I really like Jason Bourne, and the good X-Men movies never have Gambit.
Niina : LOL! I love The Avengers! Can you tell us five fun/quirky things about Evan that we didn't learn from the book?
Liana : Evan can’t cook, at all, he set the house on fire making grilled cheese sandwiches one time.
He’s a hopeless romantic, he loves the big grand gestures and spoiling the people he loves.
Evan started tinkering with genetics because he hurt his shoulder the first day of basketball camp one summer and had to spend the rest of the summer home alone, he was bored, it’s not safe to let him get bored.
Evan really would like a fortress of evil, but Tabitha won’t let him buy a castle in a mountain fastness because that’s not where the good schools are.
He likes chocolate chip cookies made with white chocolate, not semi-sweet.
Niina : LOL! If we could ask Evan what has been the single most outrageous night out for him, what would he answer?
Liana : Drunk or sober? You know what, I’ll let him answer.
Evan : She’s right, do you want the nights I an remember or just the ones we have pictures of? There was this one time where we were, well, drunk in college and decided to burn our text books in a toilet someone had in their room. I don’t think I can do the full story justice. Anyway, we didn’t want to get fined for setting off the smoke detectors so we pushed the flaming toilet full of books onto the ledge of the apartments, and remembered about five seconds later that there wasn’t a ledge. It was a beautiful mess. That’s probably the most outrageous night I can talk about without my wife hitting me. I will tell you, Kama Sutra, page fifty-seven. * Wink *
Niina : * will go hunt a Kama Sutra * Now to more personal questions! What’s the sexiest article of clothing on a guy?
Liana : Nothing! I’m an eye person. Although I do love a well worn pair of jeans on a guy.
Niina : Your Top 3 dangerous fictional bad boys, and why them?
Liana : Aral Vorkosigan, because wow! Russian accent and he gives you a planet? Cordelia and Aral from The Vorkosigan Saga by Bujold are the ultimate power couple. He starts as the villain, an enemy soldier, and I love the Enemies to Lovers trope.
Roman from GUNMETAL MAGIC by Ilona Andrews. He’s a Russian black priest (vohlv), former US Army Ranger, gorgeous flirt, and he wears Eeyore pajamas. Minus the whole black magic things, he’s practically perfect in every way.
Han Solo/Mal Reynolds/Any space pirate ever. I love the rogues. The guys with a ton of confidence, lots of muscles, big guns, and fast ships.
Niina : What's a typical day like for you?
Liana : In reality I’m a mild mannered stay-at-home-mom. I wake up at five to write, get the kids up at 6 to get ready for school, by 8 I’m running errands with the little two. We have snacks, naps, reading time, play time, then it’s homework, dinner, and chores. Ninety percent of my day is Momming. It’s very routine and dull. Ten percent is writing and world-ending chaos.
Niina : What is your favorite guilty treat/pleasure?
Liana : Books and crazy socks.

Date: Going to Park or Going to Movies? Skinny dipping in the pool.

Romance or Erotic Romance? Romance, I love the flirtation and tension.
