"Tensions between human and vampire factions are escalating. Peace hangs in the balance. And like two ill-fated stars, Alexia Fox and Damon are destined to collide.

She's a seductive human operative on a mission to infiltrate an illegal vampire colony. He's a vampire and represents everything she loathes-and all that she desires.

Their attraction is scorching, immediate...and could explode like the fragile truce they've both been fighting independently to preserve. Now the world's last hope hinges on their ability to work together. As enemies they are doomed, but as allies they just might save the world."  ~ From Goodreads

Why didn't I realize this was dystopian paranormal romance? Oh well, maybe the blurb was vague or I was in a hurry that day, never the less here I find myself reading vampire dystopian romance. Really there could be worse matches... but still our chemistry is nothing to write home to mom to. Sure the premise is interesting with vampires rising and beginning human slaughter, human fighting back ( go us! ), truce, mutant babies and then romance with suspense plot. Sounds so great, but still not for me.

The characters were well written as was the romance. Heroine and Damon had chemistry simmering from the start and it didn't take long to blossom - of course both of them had been taught to hate each other so there were all that yummy "I shouldn't, but I can't help myself!" business.

I like the idea of Daysiders, vampires who can walk the day and would love to read more Paranormal Romance with that, just not in dystopian setting sorry. Still Daysider gets a good rating for probably being a great romance that I just didn't click with and for the great writing and entertaining characters by Ms. Krinard!
